Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Ai Engineer in Technology as part of Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT).). The primary focus of this group will be to lead the modernization efforts across the entire CCIBT portfolio of applications and systems to the cloud, leveraging the latest technologies and best practices including generative AI SDLC and software engineering practices. Being part of this team, you will advise, design, build and maintain cloud solutions with the right design decisions on availability, scalability, performance and cost. You will work closely with the key stakeholders in infrastructure, development, operations, and security teams to ensure our solutions are successfully deployed to our internal customers.In this role, you will:Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impactAct as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplinesDesign, build, test, deploy and document business solutions leveraging the latest tools in software engineering automationReview and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions to meet their strategic technical and business objectsProvide influence, thought leadership and mentorship on the best practices and standards of your teamCollaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goalsPartner and support working relationships with other teams within the Wells Fargo organization including senior leadershipInvest in the growth of your colleaguesRequired Qualifications:5+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent, demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education5+ years of leveraging modern software engineering stacks including modern Java, Python and others3+ years of experience with developing and deploying applications and infrastructure in the cloud including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud1+ years of Past experience with AI SDLC and software engineering automation tools such as GitHub Copilot, Devin, Cursor or Claude Code3+ years of experience with architectural, system and code-level design patterns relevant to cloud solutionsDesired Qualifications:Experience working with cloud security management or governance toolsAbility to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to drive strategic outcomes Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
